As we enter a new decade, our school gears up to cater to the changing needs of our pupils. The nature of pedagogy is undergoing a change that is palpable and will soon be visible although the principles of pedagogy remain the same. The need of the hour is to persist in endeavouring to strike a balance between the intellectual quotient, emotional quotient, expectations of parents and the community of the pupils. The best example we have of good pedagogical governance is our master teacher, the Lord Jesus Christ. As we browse through his life on earth as recorded in the gospels, we see that he taught his disciples in many ways. In John 9:1-7, he demonstrated the lesson, when he healed a blind man. He gave examples to his disciples when he taught them the Lord’s prayer in Luke 11: 1-4. He related spiritual principles to contemporary events as shown in Luke 13:1-2. He also narrated stories in the form of parables to convey messages. He encouraged his disciples to ask questions which he answered as described in Matthew 13:10-11. We look forward to achieving many more goals in improving the school experience of our pupils. We covet the prayers and good wishes of our friends and well-wishers as we lead the school on.
